Dry weather and above normal temperatures continued over the area. Dry surface and soil conditions remained quite pronounced, and water levels remained low in streams, lakes, and wetlands. Several grass fires occurred, especially early in the month. Light to moderate rain during the middle of the month, and some greening of vegetation, slightly alleviated the dryness, but by the end of the month conditions had become very dry again.
