The West Texas Mesonet station at Reese Center recorded 25 minutes of sustained wind speeds from 50 to 60 mph with wind gusts exceeding 60 mph throughout that period. The peak wind gust recorded by the station was 78 mph at 1450CST. Power lines were blown down by the strong wind at Reese Center as well as numerous trees and large tree limbs.
