Heavy snow of 6 to 12 inches fell across central and northeast South Dakota. The snowfall created many road problems and driving difficulties. Many vehicles ended up in the ditch or were stuck in the deep snow. Also, there were several accidents and many events were canceled. Some snowfall amounts included, 6 inches at Watertown, Milbank, Conde, and Castlewood, 7 inches at Murdo, Reliance, Clark, La Plant, and Mound City, 8 inches at Miller, Sisseton, Gann Valley, Bryant, and Blunt, 9 inches at Lowry, Summit, Mellette, Onida, near Faulkton, and Britton, 10 inches south of Highmore and Aberdeen, and 12 inches south of Ree Heights.
