Gusty winds blew throughout western Montana late afternoon into the evening hours. In the Butte area,law enforcement reported power outages and partial roof damage to a home in the afternoon with wind estimated to be in the 40 to 50 mph range.

Gusty winds blew throughout western Montana late afternoon into the evening hours. In the Butte area,law enforcement reported power outages and partial roof damage to a home in the afternoon with wind estimated to be in the 40 to 50 mph range. In the Kalispell area, wind damage occurred when a large evergreen tree fell on a home and large limb fell on a pickup truck. Near the city airport, the roof blew off a pumping station and metal siding or roofing was torn off one of the airport hangers. Flathead Electric Cooperative reported about 4000 customers were without electricity from trees and branches falling on utility lines and blocking roads. Winds were estimated to range from 50 to 60 mph.
