Flooding in New York, April 4 to 6, 2000
A low pressure area brought a general one to two inch rainfall over the Adrondacks on Apirl 3 and 4. Ths rain, combined with snowmelt, produced a runoff large enough to promote minor flooding of the western Mohawk and upper Hudson river.

A low pressure area brought a general one to two inch rainfall over the Adrondacks on Apirl 3 and 4. Ths rain, combined with snowmelt, produced a runoff large enough to promote minor flooding of the western Mohawk and upper Hudson river. The Mohawk River exceeded the flood stage at Utica of 403 feet, by half a foot. The Hudson exceeded the flood stage of 90 feet at Schuylerville by one foot and flooded the Stillwater Flats. No significant damage was reported to the National Weather Service with this minor flooding.
