Strong winds mixed down to the surface, associated with a strong jet stream. Winds gusts between 50 and 73 mph were noted in the Rampart Range and in western Colorado Springs. Wind gusts between 50 and 62 mph were recorded in western Pueblo county and in Las Animas county around Aguilar.
