A series of storm systems moved through Arizona during the 3-day period and left as much as 3 1/2 inches of rain across North Central Maricopa County. Sky Harbor Airport recorded 2.77 inches and many areas of the city had over 2 inches. Numerous accidents were blamed on wet or flooded streets and intersections.
