Heavy showers associated with a tropical depression far south of Samoa fell across the territory Sunday afternoon to Monday morning. The Weather Station Office at Tafuna Airport recorded 8.18 inches of rainfall from Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon. Numerous small streams were overflow with widespred flooding of low lying areas as well as mud and land slides were reported by police and TEMCO across Tutuila Sunday and Monday.
