Strong 'Matanuska' winds began gusting above 60 mph just after 2 pm ADT Thursday. Winds peaked at 74 mph between 2 pm ADT and 2:30 pm ADT Thursday...finally diminishing below 60 mph at 3 am ADT Friday.
