As an area of thunderstorms moved through the area, lightning from the anvil tops presented a problem from the weakening storms. Lightning struck several homes in Taylor County, causing appliance damage. One home south of Gravity was struck and a small fire started in the attic of the home. Damage was minor and the fire was extinguished quickly by the fire department.
