A 68 mph wind gust was measured at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. In nearby Olmstead Falls, around a dozen trees were blown down with at least three landing on houses. Other damage in Olmstead Falls included a broken railroad crossing gate, a knocked down fence and a destroyed playhouse. Around a dozen trees were downed just south of the airport in Berea.

Thunderstorms producing strong downburst winds developed over Lake Erie and then moved inland over the eastern half of the county. Cars and boats were damaged at a marina on East 55th Street in Cleveland. Approximately 50 cars sitting in a parking lot at the marina had windows blown out. A 200 pound man walking near the parking lot was thrown 30 feet and ended up in the water. He was not injured. Several small boats were damaged including one that was lifted out of the water and blown over a chain link fence. Power poles and trees were downed in Cleveland, Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights, Chagrin Falls and Moreland Hills.
