Straight line winds were estimated at 60 to 70 mph by a National Weather Service survey. This caused damage along a path that was about a half mile wide and 2 miles long. One tree fell onto a house. A mobile home and a school had sections of their roofs ripped off. Several residents had siding or shingles removed by the wind.
