County EMA officials reported that an individual was struck by lightning at Bayou Grande Marina. The individual was wind surfing and was heading to shore as a storm approached. The individual still had one leg strapped to his smoking sailboard when rescuers reached him. He was taken to a local hospital and is still recovering.
