A winter storm moved across northern New Mexico, generating areas of heavy snow across sections of southern Colorado. Some of the heavier snow totals in El Paso county included 8 inches at Green Mountain Falls...7 inches just west of downtown Colorado Springs...6 inches at both Manitou Springs and Palmer Lake and up to 5 inches in the vicinity of Monument. In Teller county, the Woodland Park area received up to 6 inches of snow while the Buena Vista area in eastern Chaffee county accumulated 4 inches of snow.
