Repeated heavy rainfall resulted in severe flooding of Sand Creek in the town of Jordan. Described as the worst flooding since 1963. 38,000 sandbags were needed. 2 bridges were washed out. Because of the rapid response of volunteers and emergency personnel in erecting a sandbag wall, flooding damage was minimized. The Jordan NWS cooperative observer reported 6.80 inches of rain between the 24th and the 27th with over 4 inches falling on the 26th.
