Nearly 10 inches of rain fell in southwestern parts of the county causing significant flooding, especially near Wrightsville, Darbydale, Pleasant Corners, and Grove City. Numerous roads were closed, including Interstate 71. Several homes were flooded and some evacuations occurred.

In less than 6 hours, from 5 to nearly 10 inches of rain fell in the Big Darby Creek drainage basin. The creek rose quickly out of its banks and reached a crest of 14.6 feet at Darbyville at 500 PM EST on the 29th. Numerous roads were flooded across Madison, Franklin, and Pickaway counties. Also, flooding occurred in the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park near Circleville.

A crest moved down the Scioto river, mainly due to drainage from the Big Darby Creek. The river at Circleville rose out of its banks and reached a crest of 18.2 feet at 700 AM EST on the 30th. The river fell below flood stage at 400 AM EST on July 1st. Low land and backwater flooding occurred, mainly along and downstream of the Big Darby Creek. Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
