A series of low pressure systems moved along a frontal boundary along the eastern seaboard to produce snow in Northwestern Massachusetts. The snow started on the morning of December 29 and ended early on December 30. Generally 3 to 6 inches of snow fell across the Berkshires, but at higher elevations 12 inches fell at Peru and 10 inches fell at Savoy.
