Large hail fell across the eastern two thirds of Topeka. Hail from three-fourths to an inch in diameter was common but a few areas received two to three inch diameter hail. The largest hail of three inches in diameter fell at the intersection of Huntoon Street and Medford Street. Two inch diameter hail fell at the National Weather Service office at Phillip Billard AIrport. Two and one-fourth inch diameter hail fell at Lake Shawnee. Cars were dented at locations which received the largest hail.
