Branches were broken and large trees were uprooted by strong thunderstorm winds across Carroll County during the early morning hours. At Lake Carroll a large oak tree smashed through the patio door of a home and some of the branches punched through the roof on the garage. Another large tree damaged a home in Lanark and crushed a swing set.

Widespread damage was reported across the county after thunderstorm winds downed trees and power lines. The cities of Hennepin, Granville, and Standard suffered power outages. And numerous trees were blown down in Mc Nabb, Mark, and Magnolia.
