Strong winds occurred in and near the mountains of southeast Wyoming. Gusts to 59 MPH tipped over a semi-tractor and trailer on northbound Interstate 25 six miles south of Cheyenne in the morning. A gust to 77 MPH was recorded 10 miles south of Wheatland at 0700. A gust to 76 MPH was recorded 38 miles northwest of Laramie at 0530. Cooper Cove near Elk Mountain had gusts to 75 MPH. A gust to 70 MPH was reported 15 miles west of Cheyenne at 0100. Laramie reported sustained winds of 46 MPH with gusts to 68 MPH just before dawn. Sustained winds of 43 MPH were recorded one mile southeast of Glenrock at 0500, with gusts to 55 MPH. Sustained winds of 50 MPH were recorded 20 miles south of Laramie at 0700.
