A strong low moved into the western Bering Sea late Friday and early Saturday. The low reached 958mbs late Saturday in the extreme northern Bering Sea before slowly weakening to a 965 mb center around Etolin Strait Sunday morning.

A strong low moved into the western Bering Sea late Friday and early Saturday. The low reached 958mbs late Saturday in the extreme northern Bering Sea before slowly weakening to a 965 mb center around Etolin Strait Sunday morning. Strong winds were observed along the southwest semicircle of the low. Strong southerly winds were reported in advance of the front...which extended from the northeast Bering Sea into the west central Aleutians at 9 am Saturday...dissipating in an arc from the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta to Kodiak Sunday. Blizzard conditions were also reported across the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Saturday.
