A National Weather Service damage survey confirmed straight-line winds estimated at 55-65 mph impacted the Daytona Flea and Farmers Market in Daytona Beach around 2115 LST. Damage consisted of the removal of a large portion of a corrugated roof, with metal roofing peeled back on several adjacent buildings. Roof debris was blown downwind 100 yards onto adjacent portions of Interstate 95, causing the roadway to be closed for several hours. No other damage was noted in the area and there were no injuries or fatalities.

Based on numerous videos, pictures, and reports received from Lake County Emergency Management, Lake County Sheriff's Office, local broadcast media, trained spotters and the public, a waterspout on Lake Dora came onshore in Tavares as a brief tornado before quickly dissipating. The waterspout formed on Lake Dora at approximately 1741 LST. The waterspout came onshore on the north side of the lake near the 32900th block of Lakeshore Drive in Tavares at approximately 1742 LST, as a weakening tornado. The tornado knocked down a power pole and transformer on Lakeshore Drive before dissipating north of the road. Peak winds are estimated between 60-65 mph. No other damages or injuries occurred.

The Willard Fire Department performed a water rescue at a low water crossing on the Sac River at the intersection of North Farm Road 105 and Farm Road 44. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was washed downstream.

The Paulding County Emergency Manager reported trees and power lines blown down across the county from the southwest corner along Ragan drive northeast across Dallas on Wagon Trail Circle, Summer Creek Cove and Old Hickory Way and into the northeast portion of the county near the intersection of Ferguson Place and Cochran Road.

Area river gauges were indicating high water leavels occurring on many creeks and rivers across Johnson County and in particular in North Liberty and Iowa City. While levels have peaked and creeks and rivers are starting to recede, these creeks and rivers remain out of their banks.

Heavy rains from Tropical Depression Cristobal caused a mudslide to occur near Elba and Whitewater State Park. Other mudslides near Winona brought down power poles. High water covered roads near Lewiston.

Runoff from the heavy rains associated with Tropical Depression Cristobal pushed the Turkey River out of its banks twice in Spillville. The first crest was almost two and half feet above the flood stage at 11.4 feet on the 10th. The second crest was around a quarter of a foot above the flood stage at 9.23 feet, also on the 10th.

The spotter near Mohawk reported 2.50 inches of rain from early morning into the late afternoon. The spotter also reported that the Trap Rock River had risen considerably but was still well below flood stage.

Rainfall of 2 to 4 inches with localized amounts in excess of 5 inches fell over much of Price County. The heavier amounts led to flash flooding in the Town of Knox in the form of washed out roads and shoulders along with damaged culverts. This led to a disaster declaration for the county.

WJMN-TV reported at least one tree down on power lines along Highway US-41 in Negaunee Township on the morning of the 10th. These downed trees were likely responsible for the reports of numerous power outages between Negaunee and Marquette.

Marion County Emergency Management provided evidence of significant wind damage across the Marion area due to severe thunderstorm winds of up to 80 mph. Numerous trees and power lines were downed across the city with several large trees falling onto residences. Winds ripped off a significant portion of a roof of an industrial building on the west side of Marion. Winds also caused the brick facade of a building in downtown Marion to collapse onto a vehicle. The vehicle was occupied at the time of the damage and the female occupant sustained minor injuries. There was also evidence on social media that a gustnado may have formed with the squall line that moved through the Marion area just before 6 pm local time.

Ottawa County Emergency Management, Sheriff Dispatch, and several trained spotters reported widespread wind damage across Ottawa County. Tree damage and downed power poles and lines were reported in Oak Harbor, Port Clinton, Catawba Island, and Marblehead in the mainland portions of the county. Several of the downed trees were quite large, as much as three and a half feet in diameter, and several were reported to be snapped. Outside of a few trees falling onto structures, some homes reported wind damage with a roof removed from a garage and others having miscellaneous roof and shingle damage. An automated wind sensor at Carl R Keller Field reported a 60 mph wind gust during the event. Power outages in the area lasted several days.

Crawford County Sheriff Dispatch reported widespread tree damage across western portions of Crawford County. A large tree was downed in the Jamestown Campgrounds on the southwest portions of Pymatuning Reservoir. More tree damage was noted in the Linesville Area, North Shenango Township, East Fallowfield Township, and Summit Township. Several roads were closed in the southwest portion of the county.

What this means

A best track is the record a warning agency settles on after the storm, not what it said at the time: position, maximum sustained wind and central pressure every six hours, revised against every observation that came in later. Category is the Saffir-Simpson scale, which runs from Category 1 at 64 kt to Category 5 at 137 kt and reads wind only, so it says nothing about surge or rain. Accumulated cyclone energy adds up the square of the wind through the storm's life, so it counts strength and duration together.
