3 localities in the southern part of the Xinzhu-Zhunan,

Miaoli and Dahu-were hit most seriously. An iron bridge was damaged. Houses of 30 thousand families were destroyed. 2,746 people were killed, and 6,004 wounded.

The shock was felt in Fuzhou.
