November 6, 1904, 04:25 local time, Jiayi, Taiwan Province, 23.5 N, 120.3 E, magnitude 6.25. 661 houses totally, and 1112 partly collapsed; 407 houses were seriously and 1660 slightly damaged. The ground fissured and ejected sand near Xingang,

145 people were killed and 158 injured. The shock was felt on all the island. Altogether 34 shocks occurred up to December 17. (reference #3939)
