The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 288
continues.

SUMMARY...As the storms move out of northeastern Colorado, the
severe wind threat will continue into southwestern Nebraska and
northwestern Kansas over the next couple of hours.

DISCUSSION...A couple of surging/bowing segments of the developing
MCS have been noted across Yuma and Kit Carson Counties in
northeastern Colorado (yielding a severe gust in Wray, CO).  In the
short term, these would be the favored locations for severe winds. 
Despite convective cores coming down some over the last hour, the
expectation is that the MCS will continue to organize and
restrengthen as it moves eastward into a better thermodynamic
environment along with the southerly low-level jet increasing into
the area over the next few hours.
