* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this evening
to 25.5 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Mississippi...
Yocona River near Oxford
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 25.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:00 PM CDT Thursday was 27.3 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
tonight and continue falling to 12.7 feet Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, Flooding is occurring in agricultural land
near the river.
