heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen over the past several hours. The expected rainfall
rate is 1 inch in 1 hour. Saturated soils will result in efficient
runoff of any further rainfall. Additional rainfall amounts of 1
to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

of low-lying areas from heavy rainfall received during earlier
thunderstorms. Several roads remain flooded in both northwest and
southeast portions of Quitman County. Between 1 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen over the past several hours and additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.

The heavy rain has ended and the Flash Flood Warning has been
replaced by an Areal Flood Warning due to prolonged flooding with
slow rises in water levels.
A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 100 PM CDT Wednesday for
portions of East Arkansas and North Mississippi.
