* At 255 PM CDT, the public reported widespread flash flooding due
to thunderstorms in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen, with localized higher amounts. The expected
rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches per hour. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Significant flash flooding has been observed in Union County,
specifically in New Albany and west of Myrtle.
