The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Desha County in southeastern Arkansas...
  Southeastern Drew County in southeastern Arkansas...

* Until 1225 PM CDT.

* At 923 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain moving into the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of 
  rain have fallen, especially over northern and central portions of 
  the warned area. Widespread flash flooding is already occurring! 
  Per the Desha County Office of Emergency Management, areas that 
  usually do not flood are being inundated with high water at this 
  time. This is a serious situation...seek higher ground and do not 
  drive through flood waters!

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Emergency management.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  McGehee, Jerome, Baxter, Collins, Masonville, Enon and Halley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small 
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying 
spots.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. 
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. 
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate 
precautions to protect life and property.
