The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Hendricks County in central Indiana...
  Northern Johnson County in central Indiana...
  Marion County in central Indiana...
  Northern Morgan County in central Indiana...

* Until 915 AM EDT.

* At 515 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms 
  producing more heavy rain will increase in number across the 
  warned area, including metro Indianapolis, over the next 1-2 
  hours. Already, radar and observations indicate that between 2 and 
  3 inches of rain have fallen across parts of Marion County since 
  late Friday evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches 
  are possible in the warned area, which may cause flash flooding.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Lawrence, Plainfield, 
  Franklin, Brownsburg, Beech Grove, Speedway, Mooresville, 
  Danville, Southport, Avon, New Whiteland, Cumberland, Whiteland, 
  Bargersville, Pittsboro and Meridian Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

The heavy rain has ended for now. Additional showers and 
thunderstorms may impact parts of the area later this morning...but 
widespread flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please 
continue to heed remaining road closures.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM EDT for portions 
of central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana and 
west central Indiana.
