Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue across portions of
the area into this evening. Cloud-to-ground lightning and heavy
rainfall are the main potential impacts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

...A HEAVY RAIN SHOWER WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN GASTON AND
NORTHWESTERN YORK COUNTIES UNTIL 645 PM EDT...

At 613 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a heavy rain shower 8 miles
north of York, or over Clover, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Locations to be impacted include...
Gastonia, York, South Gastonia, Clover, Cramerton, Lowell, Kings
Mountain State Park, Belmont, Lake Wylie and Crowders. Rapid stream
rises will be possible over Bullock Creek in northwestern York
COunty.

Very heavy rainfall rates up to 1 inch per hour will be possible in
these areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall may flood areas with poor drainage, such as
ditches and underpasses. Avoid these areas and do not cross flooded
roads. Water levels of small streams may also rise rapidly. Seek
higher ground if threatened by flood waters.

County through 645 PM EDT...

At 618 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Downtown Asheville, or near North Asheville, moving southeast at 10
mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail. Locally heavy
         rainfall will occur as well.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Downtown Asheville, East Asheville, Arden, West Asheville, North
Asheville, Woodfin, Swannanoa, Weaverville, Biltmore Forest and B.R.
Parkway-Nc Arboretum To East Asheville.
