  Central Mecklenburg County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 830 PM EDT.

* At 747 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northeast
  of Uptown Charlotte, or near University City, moving southeast at
  10 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Uptown Charlotte, South Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, East
  Charlotte, Matthews, Mint Hill, Harrisburg, Freedom Park,
  University City and Reedy Creek Park.
