...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
McDowell, northwestern Rutherford, northeastern Henderson, north
central Polk and southeastern Buncombe Counties through 300 PM EDT...
At 214 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17
miles northeast of Hendersonville, or near Chimney Rock State Park,
moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
