The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Freestone County in central Texas...
  Northwestern Leon County in central Texas...
  Southeastern Limestone County in central Texas...
  Northeastern Robertson County in central Texas...

* Until 400 PM CDT.

* At 1255 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have 
  fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.25 inches in 30 minutes. 
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
           poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Groesbeck, Teague, Fairfield, Buffalo, Fairfield Lake State Park, 
  Jewett, Thornton, Oakwood and Kosse.

Flooding has been reported across downtown Groesbeck in some of the 
more flood prone areas. Additional heavy rainfall will arrive within 
the next 1 hour and this will result in flash flooding...
particularly across the Groesbeck and Thornton areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR 
SOUTHERN FREESTONE, NORTHWESTERN LEON, SOUTHEASTERN LIMESTONE AND 
NORTHEASTERN ROBERTSON COUNTIES...

New flash flooding is no longer expected. However, lingering 
moderate rain as well as brief heavy rain may cause additional minor 
flooding of poor drainage and/or low lying areas as well as small 
creeks and streams. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for portions 
of north central Texas and northeast Texas.
