...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY...
    
At 416 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Parkers Prairie,
or 16 miles north of Alexandria, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Douglas County, including the following locations...
Garfield, Millerville and Leaf Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY WILL EXPIRE AT
430 PM CDT...
        
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and has exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will
be allowed to expire.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for west central
Minnesota.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
Douglas County until 445 PM CDT.
