  isolated road closures expected. Dangerous swimming and 
  surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the

.NEAR TERM /Now Through Tuesday/...As Cristobal lifts further to
the north of the region, deeper layer moisture continues advecting
away. The rainbands that extend well south of the region are
becoming more elongated with time in a N-S orientation and have
lain across our area generally west of I-65. Some decrease in
precipitation coverage is expected overnight, but for at least
the next 12 hours, these could remain deep convectively active
and produce localized heavy rainfall. We are forecasting a slow
decreasing trend in rain chances the next two forecast periods.
Tomorrow afternoon will be warm to hot and steamy with more breaks
of sun than today - as cloud cover slowly decreases next 24 h.
However, more thermodynamic instability in association with solar
insolation will only bring a return to likely rain chances once
again during the heat of the afternoon. We are still assessing
whether or not a short-term extension of the ongoing Flash Flood
Watch will be needed through mid-evening given orientation of
current confluent rainbands. A Coastal Flood Warning will be
allowed to expire sometime later today as water levels gradually
recede but minor coastal flooding will occur again around the
time of high tide tomorrow, especially the upper reaches of Mobile
Bay and given onshore winds. A Coastal Flood Advisory will be in
effect once the Coastal Flood Warning goes down later this
afternoon. We will likely downgrade the High Surf Warning to a
High Surf Advisory through midday tomorrow. The Wind Advisory has
been allowed to expire as background winds are below 25 mph,
however, there are of course, higher gusts in the more intense
rainbands. Latest KMOB VWP shows 30 kt at 1 kft AGL /23 JMM

.AVIATION...
18Z issuance...Mostly MVFR to occasionally IFR conditions with
regard to both CIGs and VSBYs through tomorrow morning across
regional terminals. IFR conditions will mostly occur west of the
I-65 Corridor in association with the most intense rainbands and
is more likely to occur with VSBYs. Generally VFR conditions from
mid- morning on. Gusty south to southwest winds around 30 knots
slowly subsiding overnight. /23 JMM

...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES...MOBILE AND SOUTHEASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES UNTIL 200 PM
CDT...

At 115 PM CDT, the strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles southwest of Citronelle to 4 miles west of
Tillmans Corner to 6 miles southwest of Bayou La Batre, and moving
northeast at 35 mph.

Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Midtown Mobile, Prichard, Tillmans Corner, Saraland, Theodore,
Chickasaw, Satsuma, Grand Bay, Citronelle, Bayou La Batre, Creola,
Dauphin Island, Chunchula, Gulfcrest, Axis, Mount Vernon, Calvert,
