* Forecast...The Arkansas River at Van Buren is expected to rise 
  above flood stage Wednesday morning and continue to rise to near 
  32.1 feet by early Friday afternoon, which corresponds to a flow
  near 375,000 cubic feet per second. The river is expected to remain
  above 31 feet and above 340,000 cubic feet per second through Sunday. 
* Impact...At 31.0 feet, extensive flooding occurs to industrial
  businesses in the floodplain around Fort Smith. Flooding occurs in 
  Moffett, Oklahoma. Backwater flooding occurs in the trailer parks 
  near Lee Creek. Some residential subdivisions in the floodplain 
  around Fort Smith begin to flood. This is an extremely dangerous and
  life threatening situation.  
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, damaging flooding occurs along the Arkansas 
  River floodplain from Moffett, Oklahoma downstream to Lock and Dam 
  13. The port of Fort Smith and nearby businesses are flooded. 
  Backwater flooding occurs in the trailer parks next to Lee Creek. 
  Some residential subdivisions around Fort Smith are flooded. This 
  is an extremely dangerous and life threatening situation.

  The Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam
* from Thursday morning until further notice.
* At  1:00 PM Tuesday, the stage was 354.8 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage by 
  Thursday morning and continue to rise to near 366.1 feet by early 
  Saturday afternoon. The river is then expected to remain above 
  365.6 feet through Sunday.
* Impact...At 365.0 feet, County Roads 228 and 4 south of Coal Hill
  in Johnson County are inundated. Roads northeast of Scranton in 
  Logan County are inundated by backwater up Cane Creek.  
* Impact...At 367.0 feet, Highways 309 and 288 northwest of Paris in 
  Logan County are inundated by backwater up Six Mile Creek. 
  Backwater flooding spreads westward into Franklin County at higher 
  stages. This is an extremely dangerous and life threatening 
  situation.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage by late 
  Wednesday evening and continue to rise to near 406.8 feet by Friday
  morning. The river is then expected to remain above 405 feet through
  Sunday. This flooding is due to backwater from the Arkansas River.
* Impact...At 405.0 feet, Tailwater Park is inundated by high water. 
  Permanent structures in the park are damaged. Flood waters begin to 
  affect residences approximately two-thirds of a mile downstream from
  the dam. Flood waters reach a permanent residence at the campground 
  near Rena Road and recreational vehicles in the campground may be
  flooded. Rena Road is inundated by high water.   
* Impact...At 408.0 feet, major flooding occurs downstream from the 
  Lee Creek Reservoir. The recreational campground near Rena Road is 
  severely flooded. Rena Road is inundated by high water. Several 
  residences along Lee Creek downstream from the reservoir are 
  flooded. Flooding is comparable to the flooding which occurred on 
  April 24, 2004. This is a dangerous and life-threatening situation.

  near 28.9 feet early Sunday afternoon then remain above 26.9 feet
  through Monday.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, severe agricultural flooding occurs. Some 
  local roads are closed northwest of Okmulgee with some suburban 
  homes northwest of Okmulgee sufffering minor flooding. Dentonville 
  Road southwest of Beggs is closed. This will exceed the flooding 
  which occurred on April 29, 1999 when the river crested at 27.10 
  feet. This is an extremely dangerous and life threatening 
  situation.

* At  4:00 PM Thursday, the stage was 360.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 374.0 feet by 
  Tuesday morning and then remain at that level.
* Impact...At 373.0 feet, this is the critical stage for the Lower 
  Hartman Bottom Levee. This is an extremely dangerous and life 
  threatening situation.
* Impact...At 370.0 feet, this is the highest stage experienced 
  since the completion of the navigation system in 1969. Highways 
  309 and 288 northwest of Paris in Logan County are inundated by
  backwater up Six Mile Creek. Backwater flooding spreads westward 
  into Franklin County. This will exceed the December 29, 2015
  flood when the river crested at 369.07 feet.

  the Lee Creek Reservoir. The recreational campground near Rena 
  Road is severely flooded. Rena Road is inundated by high water.
  Several residences along Lee Creek downstream from the reservoir
  are flooded. 
* Impact...At 414.0 feet, major flooding occurs downstream from the 
  Lee Creek Reservoir. Residences approximately one quarter mile 
  downstream of the reservoir begin to be impacted by flood water.  
  Residences approximately two-thirds of a mile downstream of the 
  reservoir are inundated to a depth of several feet. The 
  recreational campground near Rena Road is severely flooded. Rena 
  Road is inundated by high water. This is a dangerous and 
  life-threatening situation.

  near 41.0 feet Sunday morning and then remain at that level 
  through Tuesday. This will exceed the flood of record, which is
  38.10 feet from April 1945.
* Impact...At 37.0 feet, near catastrophic flooding occurs along 
  the Arkansas River. The port of Fort Smith and nearby businesses are 
  severely flooded. Several residential subdivisions around Fort Smith
  are flooded. Backwater flooding occurs in the trailer parks next to 
  Lee Creek. This exceeds conditions which occurred on May 5, 1990 when
  the river crested at 36.1 feet. This is an extremely dangerous and
  life threatening situation.

  backwater up Six Mile Creek. Backwater flooding spreads westward 
  into Franklin County. This will exceed the December 29, 2015

* At  4:00 PM Saturday, the stage was 35.94 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Record flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Arkansas River at Van Buren will continue rising to 
  near 41.0 feet early Tuesday afternoon then remain near 41 feet
  through Thursday. The flow along the river is expected to increase
  to around 530,000 cubic feet per second.
* Impact...At 37.0 feet, near catastrophic flooding occurs along 
  the Arkansas River. The port of Fort Smith and nearby businesses are
  severely flooded. Several residential subdivisions around Fort Smith 
  are flooded. Backwater flooding occurs in the trailer parks next to 
  Lee Creek. This exceeds conditions which occurred on May 5, 1990 when
  the river crested at 36.1 feet. This is an extremely dangerous and 
  life threatening situation.

* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 374.0 feet by 
  Tuesday evening and then remain at that level. The flow along the
  river will increase to around 458,000 cubic feet per second.
* Impact...At 373.0 feet, this is the critical stage for the Lower 
  Hartman Bottom Levee. This is an extremely dangerous and life 
  threatening situation.
* Impact...At 370.0 feet, this is the highest stage experienced 
  since the completion of the navigation system in 1969. Highways 309 
  and 288 northwest of Paris in Logan County are inundated by backwater
  up Six Mile Creek. Backwater flooding spreads westward into Franklin
  County. This will exceed the December 29, 2015 flood when the river 
  crested at 369.07 feet.

* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 401.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 416.8 feet by 
  Wednesday morning then remain nearly steady at that level.
* Impact...At 414.0 feet, major flooding occurs downstream from the
  Lee Creek Reservoir. Residences approximately one quarter mile 
  downstream of the reservoir begin to be impacted by flood water.  
  Residences approximately two-thirds of a mile downstream of the 
  reservoir are inundated to a depth of several feet. The recreational
  campground near Rena Road is severely flooded. Rena Road is inundated
  by high water. The flood of record is 417.5 feet, which occurred on 
  December 28, 2015. This is a dangerous and life-threatening situation.

* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Record flooding is occurring and Record flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Arkansas River at Van Buren will continue rising to 
  near 42.5 feet Wednesday evening then remain near that level.
* Impact...At 41.0 feet, near catastrophic flooding occurs along the 
  Arkansas River. The port of Fort Smith and nearby businesses are 
  severely flooded. Several residential subdivisions around Fort 
  Smith are flooded. Backwater flooding occurs in the trailer parks 
  next to Lee Creek. This exceeds conditions which occurred on May 5,
  1990 when the river crested at 36.1 feet. This is an extremely 
  dangerous and life threatening situation.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 377.0 feet by 
  early Thursday afternoon then remain near that level.
* Impact...At 377.0 feet, this is the critical stage for the McLean 
  Bottom Levee. This is an extremely dangerous and life threatening 
  situation.
* Impact...At 373.0 feet, this is the critical stage for the Lower 
  Hartman Bottom Levee.   
* Impact...At 370.0 feet, this is the highest stage experienced since 
  the completion of the navigation system in 1969. Highways 309 and 
  288 northwest of Paris in Logan County are inundated by backwater 
  up Six Mile Creek. Backwater flooding spreads westward into Franklin 
  County. This will exceed the December 29, 2015 flood when the river
  crested at 369.07 feet.

* At  1:00 AM Thursday, the stage was estimated to be 409.7 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 401.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 416.6 feet by 
  this morning and remain nearly steady.
* Impact...At 417.0 feet, major flooding occurs downstream from the 
  Lee Creek Reservoir. Residences approximately one quarter mile 
  downstream of the dam are inundated by a couple of feet of water.  
  Residences approximately two-thirds of a mile downstream of the dam
  are inundated to a depth of several feet. The recreational 
  campground near Rena Road is severely flooded. Rena Road is 
  inundated by high water. The flood of record is 417.5 feet, which 
  occurred on December 28, 2015. This is a dangerous and 
  life-threatening situation.

* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Record flooding is occurring and Record flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Arkansas River at Van Buren will continue rising to 
  near 40.5 feet this evening then remain near that level through 
  Saturday morning. The river will then begin falling but remain above
  38.7 feet through Tuesday. The flow along the river will be near
  545,000 cubic feet per second.
* Impact...At 40.0 feet, near catastrophic flooding occurs along the 
  Arkansas River. Approaches to the Highway 71B Midland bridge and 
  I-540 bridge may be covered by high water. The Highway 64 bridge 
  approach in Oklahoma is flooded. The port of Fort Smith and nearby 
  businesses are severely flooded. Several residential subdivisions 
  around Fort Smith are flooded. This is an extremely dangerous and 
  life threatening situation.

* Major flooding is occurring and Record flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 375.5 feet by 
  Friday evening then remain near that level through Sunday. The 
  river will then begin slowly falling but remain above 375.3 feet
  through Tuesday. The flow along the river will increase to around
  562,000 cubic feet per second. 
* Impact...At 377.0 feet, this is the critical stage for the McLean 
  Bottom Levee. The Highway 23 bridge approach is inundated in Ozark.
  This is an extremely dangerous and life threatening situation.
* Impact...At 373.0 feet, this is the critical stage for the Lower 
  Hartman Bottom Levee.   
* Impact...At 370.0 feet, this is the highest stage experienced 
  since the completion of the navigation system in 1969. Highways 
  309 and 288 northwest of Paris in Logan County are inundated by 
  backwater up Six Mile Creek. Backwater flooding spreads westward 
  into Franklin County. This will exceed the December 29, 2015 flood 
  when the river crested at 369.07 feet.

* Impact...At 370.0 feet, this is the highest stage experienced 
  since the completion of the navigation system in 1969. Highways 
  309 and 288 northwest of Paris in Logan County are inundated by 
  backwater up Six Mile Creek. Backwater flooding spreads westward 
  into Franklin County. This will exceed the December 29, 2015 flood 
  when the river crested at 369.07 feet. This is an extremely dangerous

* Impact...At 405.0 feet, Tailwater Park is inundated by high water. 
  Permanent structures in the park are damaged. Flood waters begin to
  affect residences approximately two-thirds of a mile downstream 
  from the dam. Flood waters reach a permanent residence at the 
  campground near Rena Road and recreational vehicles in the 
  campground may be flooded. Rena Road is inundated by high water.

* Forecast...The Arkansas River at Van Buren will continue rising to 
  near 28.8 feet this morning then begin falling. Flows along
  the river will decrease from near 308,000 cubic feet per second to
  near 212,000 feet per second by early Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 29.0 feet, flooding of sand and gravel companies and 
  other businesses occurs along the river. Some backwater flooding 
  occurs in the roads and trailer parks near Lee Creek. The staff at 
  the Kelley Park amphitheater may be covered by high water. Minor 
  flooding begins in Moffett, Oklahoma.

* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue falling to a stage of 364.7 feet
  by Friday morning. The upstream pool elevation will also
  continue to slowly fall through Monday. Flows along the river will
  decrease from near 348,000 cubic feet per second to near 238,000
  feet per second by early Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 367.0 feet, Highways 309 and 288 northwest of Paris in 
  Logan County are inundated by backwater up Six Mile Creek. 
  Backwater flooding spreads westward into Franklin County at higher 
  stages. This will approach the December 29, 2015 flood when the 
  river crested at 369.07 feet. This is an extremely dangerous and 
  life threatening situation.

  second by late tonight and remain above 231,000 cubic feet per second
  through Tuesday.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, flooding affects sand and gravel companies, 
  marine terminals, and similar businesses along the river. Backwater
  flooding of roads and trailer parks occurs next to Lee Creek. Much 
  of the seating areas of the Kelley Park amphitheater are covered by
  high water.

* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Forecast...The tailwater of the river will continue falling to near
  364.7 feet late tonight and remain near that level through Friday. 
  The river is then expected to start falling again but remain above 
  361 feet through Tuesday. The pool elevation is expected to remain
  nearly steady or slowly fall through Tuesday. The flow along the 
  river will remain above 309,000 cubic feet per second through Saturday
  morning and above 252,000 cubic feet per second through Tuesday.
* Impact...At 365.0 feet, County Roads 228 and 4 south of Coal Hill in
  Johnson County are inundated. Roads northeast of Scranton in Logan 
  County are inundated by backwater up Cane Creek. This is an 
  extremely dangerous and life threatening situation.

* At  1:00 PM Friday, the stage was 25.46 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Arkansas River at Van Buren will begin rising late
  this afternoon to near 27.3 feet by late Saturday night. The river will
  then begin falling but remain above 23 feet through Wednesday. The flow
  along the river will increase to around 268,000 cubic feet per second
  by Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet, extensive lowland flooding occurs east of the
  I-540 bridge to Vache Grasse Creek. Sand and gravel companies, 
  marine terminals, and similar businesses in the floodplain begin to
  flood. The lowest seating rows in the Kelley Park amphitheater are 
  covered by high water.

* At  1:00 PM Friday, the tailwater stage was 364.2 feet and the
  pool elevation was 371.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue falling to near 363.7 feet by
  Saturday afternoon and then begin rising to near 364.4 feet by 
  Sunday afternoon. The river will then fall but remain above 359 feet 
  through Wednesday. The pool elevation is expected to remain nearly 
  steady between 371 and 372 feet through Saturday. The flow along the
  river will decrease through Saturday afternoon then increase to around
  273,000 cubic feet per second by Sunday evening. 
* Impact...At 365.0 feet, County Roads 228 and 4 south of Coal Hill in
  Johnson County are inundated. Roads northeast of Scranton in Logan 
  County are inundated by backwater up Cane Creek. This is an 
  extremely dangerous and life threatening situation.

A broken line of strong to severe storms will exit northwest
Arkansas early this Afternoon. Some of these storms will be
capable of producing strong gusty winds, large hail and possibly
a tornado. Other scattered showers and a few thunderstorms
will continue across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas
through the Afternoon.

Widespread flooding continues across northeast Oklahoma after
the very heavy rainfall that occurred over the past couple of days.
The showers and thunderstorms this afternoon are not expected
to add to the flooding significantly.
