The Flood Warning continues for
  The Lookout Creek near New England.
* Until Sunday morning.
* At 11 AM Friday the stage was 12.5 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring, and minor flooding is forecast to 
  continue.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* The creek will continue rising, reaching near 15 feet Saturday 
  morning. The river is expected to fall below flood stage early 
  Sunday morning.
* At 13 feet, minor flooding expands along Sells Lane in Trenton, 
  Mason Road near Rising Fawn and Creek Road near New England. All 
  these roads will be closed. Also, minor flooding expands much 
  further downstream as the creek crosses the Tennessee border into 
  the Tiftona area.
  
  At 15 feet, minor flooding expands further along Sells Lane in 
  Trenton, Mason Road near Rising Fawn and Creek Road near New 
  England. These roads and other roads with creeks flowing into 
  Lookout Creek will be flooded with water a few feet deep, causing 
  the roads to be closed. Also minor flooding will continue to expand 
  downstream as the creek crosses the Tennessee border into the 
  Tiftona area.

  The Chattahoochee River near Atlanta South Cobb Drive.
* Until Saturday afternoon.
* At 4 PM Friday the stage was 25.8 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring, and minor flooding is forecast to 
  continue.
* Flood stage is 24 feet.
* The river will continue rising, reaching near 27.8 feet this 
  evening. The river is expected to fall below flood stage Saturday 
  morning.
* Between 26 and 28 feet, minor flooding continues in the woodlands 
  and fields along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on 
  South Cobb Drive. Flood waters 1 to 3 feet deep cover portions of the 
  railroad tracks in the industrial area on both sides of the river 
  and approaches the foundations of a few commercial buildings in the 
  area. The water level approaches the parking lot of the sales office 
  at a cement plant.

  pastures upstream and downstream from the gage on Georgia Highway 16, 
  or Newnan Road. The backyards of homes at the end of Landing Way 
  upstream from the bridge will begin to flood.
  
  At 16 feet, minor flooding expands even further. The backyards of homes 
  at the end of Landing Way upstream from the bridge will be flooded with 
  around 3 feet of water.

  flowing under Union Grove Road into the river, begins to back up.
  In Rockdale County, some flooding of yards may occur in the Lake 
  Capri subdivision.

* At 8 feet, minor flooding continues in the natural flood plain of 
  the creek upstream and downstream from the gage at Atlanta Highway, 
  or Georgia Highway 9. Most of the sidewalk and boardwalk of the Big 
  Creek Greenway will be under a foot or two of water. The areas under 
  the Georgia 400 Highway and McFarland Road will be covered with 
  around three feet of water. A portion of the sidewalk under Majors

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Big Creek near Alpharetta.
* Until Sunday evening.
* At 445 PM Friday the stage was 8.9 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring, and minor flooding is forecast to 
  continue.
* Flood stage is 7 feet.
* The river will continue rising, reaching near 9.5 feet Saturday 
  morning. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday.
* At 10 feet, minor flooding expands along the creek from near 
  Cumming to Alpharetta and Roswell. Backyards of homes off Seale 
  Drive and Gunter Court and portions of the Golf of Georgia are 
  under a foot of water. The Big Creek Greenway experiences 
  significant flooding up to 4 feet deep with closure of the paths. 
  This especially occurs upstream and downstream from the gage on 
  Kimball Bridge Road and Rock Mill Park. A large portion of the YMCA
  Campground off Preston Ridge Road will be under a two feet of 
  water.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Ocmulgee River near Macon.
* From Sunday morning until further notice.
* At 430 PM Friday the stage was 9.8 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast to develop. 
* Flood stage is 18 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Sunday morning 
  and continue rise, reaching near 23.2 feet by Monday evening.
* At 18 feet, flood stage is reached. Minor flooding begins along the 
  river upstream and downstream from the gage at U.S. Highway 80, or 
  Martin Luther King Boulevard. Portions of the Ocmulgee Riverwalk and 
  agricultural lands well downstream will be under a foot of water.

  At 23 feet, minor flooding continues to expand. Large portions 
  of the Macon GreenWay Ocmulgee Heritage Trail floods north of the 
  Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The flood waters will be up to
  3 feet deep on portions of the trail. Large portions of agricultural 
  lands east of Macon and well downstream will be under 1 to 5 feet of water.

Tornado Watch has expired. The potential for severe weather
continues mainly across areas along and east of a line from Athens
to Columbus. The primary hazards will be damaging wind gusts,
localized flooding and lightning. A brief tornado will also be
possible.

Also, tweaked the hourly grid and pops according to current
trends.

SHORT TERM /Today through Saturday/...
Short term models are in pretty good agreement, slowly bringing
surface front across the forecast area today, with the associated
upper low tracking across portions of northern AL and GA this
afternoon and tonight.  Hi-RES models have had a hard time resolving
the line of convection ahead of the front, and currently have the
main line of showers and thunderstorms moving across western
portions of the Atlanta Metropolitan areas down to near Columbus. We
have a Tornado Watch in affect through 8am over portions of west-
central Georgia. This line will move into portions of eastern and
central Georgia through mid morning. As the cold air associated with
the upper low moves across the area this afternoon, expect chance to
likely showers and thunderstorms across the area this afternoon,
with best chances in the vicinity of the upper low. The colder air
associated with the surface front is not in northwest AL and expect
our forecast area to see somewhat of a warm up through early
afternoon before the colder air makes it into north and west GA.
Overnight lows will drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s in the
higher elevation of northeast GA overnight, but do not expect any
wintry precip at this time.  With the upper low over eastern
portions of TN tomorrow could continue to see chances for showers
mainly over north GA.  Temperatures on Saturday will be 10-15
degrees cooler than afternoon high today. Have stayed close to
guidance temperatures through the period.

LONG TERM /Saturday Night through Thursday/...
Long term starts out cooler and dry with only small precip chances
over the NE mountains Saturday night quickly coming to an end with
a dry Easter Sunday in store. Temperatures will warm up to start
the work week.

GFS and European are inconsistent with handling rain chances with a
weak cold front on Wednesday and Wednesday night. At this time am
favoring mainly low chances for n and portions of central GA.

Models continue to differ on Thursday with the GFS wetter than
the European. At this time, favoring chance pops for n and most of
central GA.

12Z Update...
MVFR conditions will prevail with patchy IFR conditions across
the area. SHRA and isolated TSRA will move across the area
through 16-18Z, with additional SHRA or isolated TSRA possible
this afternoon. Winds will be southeast to west at 10-15kts with

Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms will remain possible
across portions of Georgia through this afternoon. The greatest
potential for any severe thunderstorms will be along and east of a
line from Athens to Columbus. The main hazard will be damaging
