At 1221 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles northwest of Pope AFB, or 12 miles northwest of Fort Bragg,
moving east at 20 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph, frequent lightning flashes, and pockets of
heavy rainfall will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Sanford, Lillington, Broadway, Lemon Springs, Gum Springs, Raven Rock
State Park, Olivia, Pineview, Anderson Creek and Cumnock.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

thunderstorms along a line extending from near Pope AFB to 11 miles
west of Fort Bragg. Movement was east at 20 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph, frequent lightning, and pockets of heavy
rain will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Fayetteville, Fort Bragg, Godwin, Pope AFB, Hope Mills, Spring Lake,
Eastover, Whispering Pines, Vass and Wade.
