The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Gove County in west central Kansas...

* Until 500 PM CDT
    
* At 426 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 7 miles southwest of Quinter, moving northeast at 15
  mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* Locations impacted include...
  Quinter.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 104 and
108.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM CDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN GOVE COUNTY...
    
At 437 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 4 miles southwest of Quinter, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

Quinter.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN GOVE COUNTY IS CANCELLED...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore the warning has been cancelled.  However small hail and
gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for west central
Kansas.
