* At 9:15 AM Monday the stage was 17.6 feet and falling slowly.
* Major flood stage is 16 feet and moderate flood stage is 13 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and will continue into early afternoon.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall, to below flood stage 
  tomorrow morning.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Castleberry Road off NC42 is flooded and 
  water floods the parking lot of East Clayton Elementary School. 
  Flooding reaches the lower concrete span of the bridge on Covered 
  Bridge Road.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, There will be extensive flooding which will 
  close the Neuse River Greenway trail.

* Record flooding is occurring and major flooding will continue through
  late Tuesday.
* Forecast...The river will fall slowly, finally to below flood stage
  late Wednesday.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, Houses on the river side of Front Street 
  flood.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, Jaycee Park and North Front Street are 
  flooded.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, The main operations building at the water 
  treatment plant floods.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Hospital and Buffalo Roads are flooded.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, Major Flood Stage. Flooding cuts off the 
  water treatment plants access to the reservoir.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Moderate flood stage. The Smithfield town 
  park and the Neuse riverwalk at the US70 bridge are flooded.

* Impact...At 28.0 feet, the north bound lane of SR1915 is impassable, 
  which cuts off access to emergency services to residents south of the 
  city.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet, the south bound lane of SR1915 is impassable.  
* Impact...At 26.0 feet, flooding threatens to close US117.
