.Recent heavy rainfall has caused significant runoff into streams and
rivers which will cause flooding in some areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property.

* At 230 PM Thursday the stage was 12.1 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 16.8 feet by Friday
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday
afternoon.
* At 16 feet...Major flooding begins. Several homes will flood
along Roxbury Drive...Rambo Court...and Mockingbird Road. Mobile
homes begin to flood along Museum Circle. Some businesses will
flood near the Flint River on Upper Riverdale Road and Arrowhead
Boulevard. Flooding of Upper Riverdale Road will cut off some
access to Southern Regional Hospital. Several roads will flood
including Upper Riverdale Road...Arrowhead Boulevard...Mockingbird
Road...Museum Circle...Turner Road...Harbour Town and North Bridge

* Moderate flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 10 feet.
* At 16 feet...Significant flooding expands further into the
woodlands and fields along the creek downstream from the Starrs
Mill Dam to Line Creek. Most of Starrs Mill Park will be under 4 to
6 feet of water. The flood waters will be hitting the bottom of the
mill. The water level will be around one foot deep over the wooden
platform where the USGS gage house is located.

station to the Lake Horton Reservoir.

just below Georgia Highway 54. This includes the residential yards
on Wynnmeade Parkway around Wynns Pond just north of the highway.
The significant flow into Lake McIntosh causes low portions of the
Planterra Ridge Golf Course to flood.
