AREAS AFFECTED...SERN NEB/FAR SWRN IA/FAR NWRN MO/FAR NERN KS

CONCERNING...TORNADO WATCH 115...

VALID 292358Z - 300100Z

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR TORNADO WATCH 115 CONTINUES.

WW 115 HAS BEEN EXTENDED NEWD INTO FAR SWRN IA BASED ON
COLLABORATION BETWEEN WFO OMAHA AND SPC.

AT 2345Z...REGIONAL RADAR IMAGERY SHOWED THE STRONGEST/ORGANIZED
STORM...THUS FAR WITHIN WW 115...WAS MOVING THROUGH NRN NEMAHA/SRN
OTOE COUNTIES NEB. GIVEN THIS TRACK ALONG THE WARM FRONT AND INVOF
THE INSTABILITY GRADIENT...THIS STORM WILL LIKELY AFFECT PART OF FAR
SWRN IA. THIS AND FAVORABLE DEEP LAYER SHEAR WILL SUSTAIN STORM
ORGANIZATION AND POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER THREAT AS ACTIVITY
PROGRESSES EWD.

A COUPLE ADDITIONAL STRONG STORMS HAVE ALSO DEVELOPED ALONG THE SERN
NEB/SWRN IA BORDER MOVING INTO IA. THIS ACTIVITY IS LOCATED WITHIN
SLIGHTLY WEAKER INSTABILITY /MLCAPE 500-1000 J PER KG/...BUT
EFFECTIVE BULK SHEAR OF 40 KT WILL SUPPORT ORGANIZED STORMS. ESELY
SURFACE WINDS WITH DEEP LAYER WINDS VEERING WITH HEIGHT SUPPORT
ROTATING UPDRAFTS...BUT RELATIVELY WEAK WIND SPEEDS WITHIN THE
LOWEST 1 KM AGL SUGGEST THE TORNADO THREAT MAY BE LESS LIKELY THAN
WITH ACTIVITY A LITTLE FARTHER S OVER THE IMMEDIATE TRI-STATE AREA
OF SERN NEB/SWRN IA/NWRN MO.

MEANWHILE...FARTHER EWD THROUGH SRN IA...THE PRESENCE OF A MORE
STABLE AIR MASS SUGGESTS SOUTH CENTRAL IA WILL TEND TO HAVE LIMITED
SEVERE WEATHER THREAT THIS EVENING...BUT CONVECTIVE TRENDS WILL BE
MONITORED FOR ANY INCREASE IN CONVECTIVE ORGANIZATION.
