SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   SOUTHEAST KANSAS                             
   SOUTHWEST MISSOURI                           

EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 335 PM UNTIL 900
PM CST.

HAIL TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES
NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF EMPORIA
KANSAS TO 45 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI.

RATES.  THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ALONG AND AHEAD OF COLD
FRONT AND VICINITY OF WARM FRONT.  STORMS WILL MOVE EWD INTO SWRN
MO WITH LARGE HAIL PRIMARY THREAT.
