THE MIDLAND-ODESSA NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ANDREWS COUNTY IN TEXAS

* UNTIL 330 AM CDT

* AT 1252 AM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED            
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WESTERN HALF OF      
  ANDREWS COUNTY.  THE STORMS ARE MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.  

* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED BY THIS FLASH FLOOD WARNING INCLUDE...   
  THE INTERSECTION OF SH 115 AND FM 181...FRANKEL CITY...FLOREY AND
  ANDREWS

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS...AND NORMALLY DRY WASHES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE MOUNTAINOUS AREAS OF
SOUTHWEST TEXAS THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS.  SOME
STORMS WERE/ARE MARGINALLY SEVERE WITH SEVERAL REPORTS OF DIME SIZE
HAIL AND ONE REPORT OF A 70 MPH WIND GUST.  RADAR/SATELLITE
INDICATE LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM S CNTL NM TO
TERRELL COUNTY.  THIS AREA IS SLOWLING MOVING EAST.  PCPN POPS IN
ZONES SEEM REASONABLE DUE TO TIMELY UPDATES BY WSFO LBB.  OVERNIGHT
FFA FOR SW TEXAS REMAINS APPROPRIATE.  FURTHER CHANGES TO ZONES NOT
RECOMMENDED AT THIS TIME.
