THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
CENTRAL SAN JUAN COUNTY IN UTAH
* UNTIL 400 PM MDT
* AT 1230 PM MDT WEATHER SERVICE RADARS AND SATELLITES INDICATED
VERY HEAVY RAINS BETWEEN NATURAL BRIDGES NATIONAL MONUMENT AND
BLANDING. THIS STORM WAS NEARLY STATIONARY.
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF
WASHES...CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND ROADS. THE HEAVY RAINS
COULD ALSO RESULT IN HIGH WALLS OF WATER THROUGH STEEP AND NARROW
CANYONS.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS WASHES
OR ROADWAYS. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
