THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MONTGOMERY COUNTY
  STANLY COUNTY

* UNTIL 405 AM EDT

* AT 100 AM EDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  HEAVY RAIN OVER STANLY AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES MOVING VERY LITTLE.
  MUCH OF THIS REGION HAS ALREADY RECEIVED BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES
  SINCE THURSDAY MORNING AND AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS
  LIKELY  THROUGH 3 AM. THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL CAUSE CREEKS
  AND STREAMS TO RISE RAPIDLY OUT OF THEIR BANKS.  IF YOU ARE NEAR A
  CREEK OR STREAM...HEAD FOR HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. MOTORISTS
  NEED TO AVOID AREAS WHERE WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH COVERS THE ROAD.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
