THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DETROIT/PONTIAC HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  OAKLAND COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN LOWER MICHIGAN
  WAYNE COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN LOWER MICHIGAN

* UNTIL 1100 AM EDT

* AT 815 AM... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED
  SHOWERS OVER WAYNE...OAKLAND...WASHTENAW AND LENAWEE COUNTIES.
  MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

* STANDING WATER FROM PREVIOUS RAINS CONTINUED TO CAUSE NUMEROUS
  FLOODING PROBLEMS IN THE SOUTHFIELD AREA WITH SOME REPORTS OF MORE
  MINOR FLOODING IN LIVONIA.

WHILE THE HEAVY RAIN HAS ENDED FOR NOW...TIME WILL BE NEEDED BEFORE
EXISTING HIGH WATER CAN RECEDE. ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
ONLY ADD TO THE FLOODING PROBLEM.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
