789 WUUS1 KMOB 280616 RRA SVRMOB ALC023-MSC111-153-280715- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 117 AM CDT WED MAY 28 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 215 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA ...CHOCTAW COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI ...PERRY COUNTY...WAYNE COUNTY AT 115 AM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM PUSHMATAHA ALABAMA SOUTHWEST TO NEAR HATTIESBURG MISSISSIPPI. THE LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT 25 TO 30 MPH. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE LIKELY WITH THIS LINE OF STORMS. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
