092 WUUS1 KMOB 282032 RRA SVRMOB ALC131-282130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 331 PM CDT WED MAY 28 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 430 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH ALABAMA ...WILCOX COUNTY AT 329 PM..NWS DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED DEVELOPING SCATTERED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER WESTERN WILCOX COUNTY. ONE STORM WAS JUST EAST OF YELLOW BLUFF AND ANOTHER WAS BETWEEN MILLERS FERRY AND LAMISON. THESES TORMS WERE DRIFTING NORTHEAST AT LESS THAN 10 MPH. THE MAIN THREAT IS LARGE HAIL. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DONT USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
